Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a scrum master for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the Air Force Division.



LOCATION: San Antono, TX






  • Masters degree and 12 years of directly related experience, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of masters degree, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 20 years’ experience in lieu of degree.
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Scrum master experience



  • Experience in scaled agile development environment
  • Continuous development/continuous integration (CD/CI) experience
  • A relevant SAFe certification is preferred.
  • Government acquisition experience is preferred.



  • Facilitate daily standups (or the daily scrum)
  • Participate in iteration/sprint planning meetings to protect the team from over-committing and scope creep. Aid in estimation and sub-task creation.
  • Participate in sprint reviews and capture feedback.
  • Note areas for improvement and action items for future sprints.
  • Establish scrum boards in Jira and utilize agile metrics to track and report on team performance.
  • Meet individually with team members and stakeholders as needed. Iron out team disagreements about process and work styles.
  • Consult with team members and internal stakeholders on how best to work with the scrum team.
  • Analyze burndown chartsand other portfolio planning tools to understand what gets built and at what cadence.
  • Facilitate the removal of impediments, manage risks and dependencies, and track team’s progress toward goals.
  • Participate in scrum of scrums and report on team health and progress.
  • Assist as needed with Black Label quarterly planning events.
