Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Low Friction Business & Operations Support for the Tenants Contract, supporting the Air Force Division at the Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate’s Integration and Operations Division (AFRL/RWO) at Eglin AFB, FL.

 

JOB DETAILS:

LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

JOB STATUS: FT

TRAVEL: 10%

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years experience
  • Current Secret Clearance (US citizenship required)
  • Possess a proficient understanding and knowledge of key automation tools and agile methodologies to support management in an agile construct. Examples include ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, PowerAutomate, Aris, etc.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Operations Research experience preferred.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • The contractor shall provide advice and assistance to RWO in support of all Low Friction Business and Operations (LFB&O) efforts
  • Design and implement effective and efficient processes and best practices aimed at reducing friction in AFRL/RW’s business and operations. This includes identifying areas for improvement, streamlining workflows, and introducing innovative approaches to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Offer guidance and assistance to the Integration and Operations Division, to include technical analysis, reporting, and strategic input to enhance operational effectiveness within the Divisions, all RW, and the AFRL enterprise.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review and assessment of the current state of business and operations within AFRL/RW. This includes identifying existing friction points, analyzing processes, and evaluating operational inefficiencies to establish a baseline for improvement initiatives.
  • Forge strong, collaborative relationships with on-site team members and stakeholders across the AFRL enterprise. This involves fostering productive collaborations, communicating effectively, and establishing a network of support essential for implementing friction reduction strategies.
  • Provide key support and oversight for LFB&O initiatives. This includes managing efforts (cost, schedule, performance), coordinating activities, and creating detailed documentation essential to support and drive the successful execution of initiatives aimed at reducing friction.
  • Assist the LFB&O Goal Champion in crafting and disseminating messaging and communication strategies across AFRL/RW and the AFRL enterprise. This involves ensuring clear and effective communication of friction reduction goals, progress updates, and strategies to stakeholders and relevant teams.
  • Develop and support the implementation of a comprehensive, long-term strategy focused on reducing friction in AFRL business and operations. This strategy should encompass overarching master schedules, incremental milestones, and viable metrics to gauge success and improvements in friction reduction initiatives.
  • Leverage these tools effectively to streamline processes and enhance operational agility within the organization.
