Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an QMED Oiler Surge Crew for the (USAV) Worthy, supporting the Navy Division.

We are looking for someone available to sail sometime October 20th till December 23rd, 2024

LOCATION:   Kwajalein, Marshall Islands

JOB STATUS: Surge Crew October 20th till December 23rd, 2024

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Merchant Mariner's Document issued by the United States Coast Guard or equivalent
• Required to pass a Federal Background Investigation to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) Current U.S. Citizenship Required. Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
• Shall hold a U.S Coast Guard credential as QMED Oiler or Assistant Engineer Endorsement.
• Must be documented IAW International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW)
• Ability to pass a post offer drug screen and physical/medical clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use emergency equipment as directed by captain, mate, or pilot. Break out, rig, overhaul, and store cargo‐handling gear, stationary rigging, and running gear.
• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to preserve the painted surface of the ship and to maintain line and ship equipment.
• Must hold government‐issued certification and tankerman certification when working aboard liquid‐carrying vessels
