Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst I for RTES (Redstone Test and Engineering Services), supporting the Army Division. Business Analysts are critical members of the test management team who assist the Government Account Manager manage the cost, schedule, and budget of test programs thereby enabling the engineers to focus on their respective specialties.

LOCATION:   Redstone Test Center, Huntsville, AL

JOB STATUS: Full Time

TRAVEL:  0-5%

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bachelor's Degree with project management, business, or account management experience (preferred) or one of the following:
• Associate's Degree and minimum two years of related experience (technical program planning, budget development, and/or gov project administration)
• a minimum 4 years of related experience (technical program planning, budget development, and/or gov project administration)
• minimum 4 years of military experience, or a combination of both in a related specialty.
• Experience is degree dependent, please see education requirements above.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
• A professional user of Microsoft Office and Sharepoint; in coordinating, tracking project scheduling, workflow and performance workflow; reviewing technical documents; compiling statistics and data for projects; developing integrated schedules; writing narratives, Good communicator, both orally and verbally. Knowledge of government funding and/or Army missiles and sensors a plus.  Professional organizational and communications skills. Self-starter.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• A Master's degree or a Program Management Professional (PMP) Certificate is preferred. Strong work ethic and organization skills are important. Supportive of process improvements.
• Technical experience performing engineering, analysis, and related functions in research, development, test and evaluation in support of military equipment and systems a plus. Professional user of MS Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, One Note, and PowerPoint), and SharePoint.
• Experience with and knowledge of Army missile systems is desired.
• Experience with missile or rocket systems, or sensors knowledge of different types of government funding are pluses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The MSS business analysist supports program management of MSTD at RTC through documentation of planning, execution, and reporting for all programs within the MSS division.
• Provides program management support utilizing ATEC and RTC Test Management tools including ADSS-PMM, CET, VDLS, SharePoint, PRO3, and the Project Management Dashboard.
• Tracks and coordinates test project documentation (proposals, test plans, reports, etc.), financial status, and schedules ensuring all customers, Acct.
• Managers, Test Engineers, Divisions and management maintain situational awareness.
