Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a human resources generalist for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division.

 

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: San Antonio, TX

JOB STATUS: FT

TRAVEL:  5%

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

 

  • Masters degree and 12 years of directly related experience, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of masters degree, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 20 years’ experience in lieu of degree.
  • Current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

 

  • Prefer HR experience within the government
  • Highly prefer HR experience within the Air Force supporting the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) and/or Acquisition Demonstration (AcqDemo)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Support the program talent manager on all administrative matters pertaining to the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of government civilian personnel as full-time employees and/or temporary residents
  • Support the program talent manager on all administrative matters pertaining to the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of military personnel as temporary residents
  • Draft job position descriptions with input from functional experts and hiring managers
  • Organize and track recruiting, hiring, and onboarding tasks
  • Track status of recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of talent, identify issues and risks to the program talent manager in those areas, and recommend solutions or mitigation strategies
  • Track status of all civilian personnel actions and associated taskers such as the completion of performance/contribution plans, individual development plans, awards, and recognitions
  • Identify and improve processes associated with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding talent including personnel data collection, transformation, and visualization to drive decision-making by the program talent manager
  • Potential travel 3-5 days per calendar quarter to support program events and conferences
